MARCH 2023, SEAFORD, DE – Kelly Jeter, Advisor, and John McClellan, Senior Advisor of The McClellan Team at SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate have completed the leasing of Peterson Drive in Seaford, DE. McClellan and Jeter represent Kent Peterson of Park Venture East LLC, who owns the new industrial development located at the end of Venture Drive in Seaford, DE. The property is near the FedEx distribution facility.
Kent’s complex currently consists of three buildings for a total of 21,500 SF. Construction was recently completed on a free standing, 9,000 SF high bay warehouse. New leases with Shenandoah Cable and Go Glass were secured immediately following the owner receiving his certificate of occupancy.
Shenandoah Cable Television, LLC (Shentel) leased 6,000 SF of warehouse space and 15,000 SF of adjacent outdoor storage space. Shentel offers internet, television, and phone services and is expanding in the Sussex market and across Delmarva. We were pleased to cooperate with Shelby Gillis of NAI Coastal who represented the tenant in this lease.
“Our client was looking for quality tenants to build a long-term relationship with, create stable cash flow, and complement existing tenants that already lease at the complex,” said Kelly Jeter. “With a remaining 3,000 SF left in the building, we got to work deploying targeted marketing efforts to find the right tenant for this new industrial space.”
Efforts paid off as the McClellan team was able to bring a new business to the Seaford area. Go Glass leased the remaining unit for their commercial glass division. Go Glass based their new location off of several key factors – Seaford is a central location to where many of their employees lived, as well as where the customers were that they needed to serve. It was a logical move for the division and they look forward to continuing to deliver top notch glass services ranging from door/window glass replacement, repairing/replacing hinge systems, and repairing/replacing door hardware.
