The park has seen a recent explosion in activity with over 7 parcels in the park being sold in the final quarter of 2020.
The former Bowmar Manufacturing Facility at 30733 Park Drive was successfully marketed by John McClellan, SVN Miller Commercial, and sold to Millennium Microwave for their expansion into Somerset County. Later that same month, Henry Hanna, SVN Miller Commercial, listed three other parcels of land and McClellan sold all three to Process Integration, a regional manufacturer of customized automation solutions, with the intention of building a new state of the art manufacturing facility.
In November 2020 Element Consulting worked with Hanna to purchase the 5600 square foot building at 11501 Progress Lane. Element plans to refurbish the facility and operate as a medical cannabis manufacturer. They plan to start renovations and construction in the building immediately and hope to be hiring during 2021.
Planet Found, a manufacturer of natural gas and fertilizer worked with Hanna to purchase just under 20 acres in early December with plans to build a new $20 million facility.
Hanna said “It is exciting to see this growth and expansion in Princess Anne. This is the best new industrial activity in the Industrial Park in over 10 years. These new companies will add jobs and employ people with a variety of skills and backgrounds. They also will be offering training and internships for new employees”.
The Princess Anne Industrial Park was developed to attract manufacturing jobs to Somerset County. The town is committed to maintaining an attractive industrial park for present and future businesses and customers. The property is located with both the State of Maryland Enterprise Zone and a Hub Zone which promote job growth, capital investment and economic development for users.
Originally comprised of over 75 acres the Park, which is home to Northrop Grumman, Reynolds Excavating, Ihsan Farms and the Somerset County Soil Conservation Office still has a few lots remaining for sale ranging from 1.38 acres in size to just over 7 acres. The sites are level and clear and with water, sewer, utilities and access roads, these sites are ready for construction.
