Leaders in Commercial Real Estate for Maryland’s Eastern Shore and the Delmarva Peninsula

Bill Lucks Attends 2015 Realtor® Legislative Meetings

MAY 2015, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Bill Lucks, Senior Advisor with Sperry Van Ness – Miller Commercial Real Estate in Lewes, DE recently attended the 2015 Realtor® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington, D.C.

While in the nation’s capital, local Delaware Association of Realtors members met with U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons and Congressman John Carney on Capitol Hill to ensure qualified buyers and investors in the local community have access to safe and affordable mortgage financing and to protect and advance real estate-related policies.

“Attending the Realtor Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo offers Realtors the opportunity to meet face-to-face with decision makers and be heard on the issues that affect the industry and consumers’ ability to buy, sell and invest in real estate,” said Lucks. “While meeting with lawmakers, regulatory officials and industry executives last week, Realtors urged support for the issues that are most important to the industry, communities and the clients that we serve.”

Realtors’ meetings with U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons and Congressman John Carney focused on important residential and commercial real estate issues to homeowners and investors in Sussex County. “Realtors do so much more than list and sell properties. The discussions we had last week about greater access to safe credit, patent reform, mortgage debt forgiveness tax relief, and commercial real estate tax provisions will help advance policies that strengthen homeownership and property rights and make a positive difference for consumers and our industry,” said Lucks.

In addition to being a Senior Advisor with SVN-Miller, Lucks also serves as the Federal Political Coordinator for U.S. Senator Chris Coons. He is the Past President of the Delaware Association of Realtors and the Sussex County Association of Realtors, and currently serves as the RPIC for Delaware.
